These lovely rooms retain all the charm of yester-year while providing you with modern amenities. All rooms have ceiling fans, sinks, and are air-conditioned (except rooms 3 & 14). Whether you stay for a weekend, a week or more, we have just the right accommodation for you.

Second Floor

A favorite as it has a double and single bed as well as air-conditioning, a sink and 2 ceiling fans. Two vintage oak washstands lovingly restored by Jennifer and her Mother compliment these rooms. Perhaps its nicest feature is that it is right off of the top porch...you'll feel as though you have a private veranda right outside your door!

A delightful single bedroom situated right off the top porch and opposite Room 2. Its lavender and green color scheme combined with 2 windows makes this room a cool, refreshing favorite. Sink and ceiling fan.

Room 5
The most desirable guest accommodation at the Central Avenue House. With its queen sized bed and TV in the upper right hand corner of the photo on the left, plus a sitting area pictured in the photo on the right, you'll have ample room to relax during your vacation. The TV swivels for easy viewing from the couch as well. The couch pulls out to an over-sized twin bed to sleep 3.

The bathroom is directly across from room 5. This room is air-conditioned, has it's own sink and can sleep 3 people. Room 5

Room 7
A delightful room; air-conditioned, with sink and paddle fan. It also happens to be the room that Jen's grand mom was born in! Family photos and needlepoint add nostalgia from days gone by. Families with children 7 and older like Rooms 7&8 because they adjoin by a door to the bottom right of this photograph. Parents take this room and the children take room 8. Families enjoy an even larger mid-week discount when they rent rooms 7 & 8 together Sunday - Friday morning. The total is $640 for both rooms.

Room 8 has a double bed, sink, paddle fan and is air-conditioned. It is ideal for either singles or couples, plus, it is the perfect companion to Room 7 for families with children 7 and older as it adjoins Room 7 through a door to the bottom left of this picture. Rents for $85-95/night

Room 9 is a favorite for those who crave that added measure of privacy. It is tucked into the furthermost corner of the house, is directly across from a shower room and a few steps from the water closet. Room 9 has a sink, paddle fan, A/C and a double bed. Rents for $85-95/night

Third Floor

Room 12 is a large and airy single rom with windows looking out over both Central and McClintock. In fact, it feels like you are in your own tree fort as tall trees flutter their leaves gently in front of the windows. Soothingly decorated in ocean blues, grays and whites.

Room 14 is a single bedroom done in whites and taupes. Yet, while it is a room for one person, it does have a large wardrobe as pictured. There is a sink, ceiling fan and a bureau fan - no AC. In foreground, out of site is the bureau. The window and the fan provide ample circulation. There are two shared baths at the end of the hall: one is a full bath, and one is a powder room.
